i have black heads just across my top lip, would it be ok to use one of these strips http://www.biore.com/usa/products/produc鈥?/a> to get rid of them? or is there something else i could try to get rid of them immediately?

Ow... that would hurt, and I don't think it would do what you want it to. Better only use the strip where intended.
Try Neutrogena Pore refining products. they work great, but take a few days.
